U.K. Coroner Declares Jake Hall's Death Undetermined, Seeks Spanish Reports After Mallorca Incident

Neighbors near the Mallorca villa reported hearing unusual sounds hours before police arrived. One resident told Ultima Hora that “I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something,” adding the noise stopped after about five minutes.
Police questioned specific people at the property: reporting said investigators interviewed four men and two women staying at the villa, and “no arrests were made.”
Days before his death, Hall posted on Instagram. In an update dated May 5, he wrote: “Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try to remember the good things… Looking through things — I’m just making art — in many forms.”
Hall’s ex-fiancée Misse Beqiri’s representative said the family’s focus was on their child. Entertainment Weekly reported the rep told the outlet: “at this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss,” while also asking for “privacy, compassion and respect.”
Beqiri posted a condolence message on Instagram describing her grief and their daughter’s. According to Yahoo News, she wrote: “My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's. You lit up every room you walked into.”
A British coroner has ruled the cause of death for reality TV star Jake Hall as "undetermined" after an autopsy in the United Kingdom failed to reach a conclusion. Hall, 35, was found unresponsive in a pool of blood at a villa in Santa Margalida, Mallorca, on May 6, 2026, following a night out. Entertainment Weekly reports the inquest formally opened at East London Coroner's Court on June 16.
Hall rose to fame on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) and had been living in Mallorca to focus on his art career. Area Coroner Nadia Persaud has now asked Spanish authorities to hand over toxicology results, police reports, and witness statements before a full hearing, provisionally set for December 7, 2026.
Neighbors near the £200-a-night rental villa reported a loud party running through the night. At around 4:40 AM, one resident noticed the villa's shutters and glass door wide open with the lights on. Then, between 7:10 and 7:30 AM, the music stopped. According to Yahoo News, a neighbor told local outlet Ultima Hora: "I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something," adding the sound lasted about five minutes before stopping.
Spanish Civil Guard arrived at roughly 7:30 AM and found Hall with severe head and chest injuries. Initial reports suggested he had hit a single-glazed glass door while moving through the property. Police questioned six people staying at the villa — four men and two women. Entertainment Weekly confirmed no arrests were made.
Early reports from Spanish authorities framed Hall's death as a tragic accident — a collision with a glass door. But a second, darker account also emerged. According to Yahoo News, some reports alleged that drugs were present at the property and that Hall became agitated and aggressive in the hours before he died. One source suggested he may have been banging his head against objects before the fatal incident.
By ruling the cause "undetermined," the UK coroner has refused to endorse either version of events. Coroner Persaud has granted Hall's family "interested person" status, which means they can legally question the evidence as the investigation moves forward. The Spanish toxicology report is seen as the key piece of missing information.
Just one day before his death, Hall posted what would be his final message to Instagram. On May 5, he wrote: "Life is bollocks sometimes but I'm gonna try to remember the good things… Looking through things — I'm just making art — in many forms." The post reflected a shift in his identity — away from reality TV and toward a serious art career. He had recently unveiled a sculpture in Mallorca, an island he knew well and had a second home on.
Hall had appeared on TOWIE from 2015 and was known to millions of British viewers. He also ran fashion brands Prévu Studio and By Jake Hall. His brother Sonny Hall organised a multi-floor rave wake in Shoreditch after a funeral at St Mary the Virgin Church in Wanstead. Entertainment Weekly reports that ITV said: "Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family."
Hall's ex-fiancée, model Missé Beqiri, broke her silence with a heartfelt message. Yahoo News reported she wrote on Instagram: "My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's. You lit up every room you walked into — your smile, your charm, your energy." The couple share an eight-year-old daughter named River.
A representative for Beqiri told Entertainment Weekly that "at this time, Misse's focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss," and asked for "privacy, compassion and respect." The full inquest hearing is not expected until December, leaving the family to wait months for answers.
