OpenAI Replaces First CRO Denise Dresser with Dali Rajic to Accelerate Enterprise Revenue Growth

Rajic previously served as President and COO of Wiz, a cloud security company that Google recently acquired; she also held CRO/COO roles at Zscaler and Chief Customer & Revenue Officer at AppDynamics.
Dresser was appointed on December 9, 2025 as OpenAI's first CRO and departed after roughly eight months—an unusually brief tenure for a C-suite hire at a high-profile AI company.
Under Dresser, the enterprise segment represented about 40% of OpenAI's revenue, with internal targets aiming to push that figure to 50% by the end of 2026.
OpenAI formed a strategic partnership with Chad Peets and RPT Partners to support ongoing efforts to build a world-class go-to-market team.
OpenAI's products now reach more than one billion weekly active users and more than two million businesses.
OpenAI is replacing its first-ever Chief Revenue Officer, Denise Dresser, with cybersecurity executive Dali Rajic, according to The Wall Street Journal and Axios. Dresser joined just eight months ago — in December 2025 — making her tenure one of the shortest ever for a C-suite hire at a major AI company.
Rajic comes from Wiz, a cloud security company that Google recently acquired, where she served as President and COO. She will take over as OpenAI pushes hard to grow its enterprise business — selling AI tools to large companies — and aims to make that segment half of total revenue by end of 2026, Crypto Briefing reported.
Dresser was named OpenAI's first-ever CRO on December 9, 2025. She came from Slack, where she had been CEO. Her departure after less than a year is unusually brief for a senior hire at such a high-profile company, The Wall Street Journal noted.
During a transition period, Dresser will stay on to help support customers and ensure a smooth handoff to Rajic. OpenAI has not said publicly why she is leaving, only that she is departing to "pursue other opportunities," according to The Wall Street Journal.
Rajic brings a strong track record in enterprise and security sales. Before Wiz, she held CRO and COO roles at Zscaler, a cybersecurity firm. She was also Chief Customer and Revenue Officer at AppDynamics, a software company. Her background is built around selling complex tech to big organizations — exactly what OpenAI needs, Crypto Briefing reported.
Wiz, her most recent employer, was acquired by Google's parent company Alphabet in a major deal. That deal gave Rajic a high-profile exit and made her a sought-after name in tech leadership circles, Axios reported.
Under Dresser, enterprise customers made up about 40% of OpenAI's total revenue. The company's internal goal is to push that number to 50% by the end of 2026. OpenAI's products now reach more than one billion weekly active users and more than two million businesses, according to Crypto Briefing.
To speed up its sales effort, OpenAI also formed a strategic partnership with Chad Peets and RPT Partners. The goal is to build out a "world-class go-to-market team" — meaning the people and processes that bring products to big customers at scale.
The timing of the change is notable. OpenAI is in the middle of a major structural shift — moving away from its nonprofit roots and toward a fully for-profit model. Growing enterprise revenue is central to that plan. Big companies pay more and sign longer contracts than individual users.
Axios also noted that Greg Brockman, one of OpenAI's co-founders, is building a bigger presence inside the company again. The revenue leadership change fits a broader pattern of OpenAI reorganizing its top team as it chases a larger share of the corporate AI market.
