Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Launches August 25, 2026, Offering Enhanced Co-op Across All Major Platforms

A Rain's Jackson's Star Pack enables players to bring content from Alien: Romulus into Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, including exclusive cosmetics and weapon options.
The Digital Standard Edition is listed with a suggested retail price of $49.99 at launch.
The release teaser also hints at new enemies and a return to Engineer locations, signaling expanded encounter variety.
Enad Global 7 notes it has around 560 employees across 12 offices, about 360 game developers, and a portfolio including Daybreak Games, Piranha Games and Big Blue Bubble, with EG7 listed on Nasdaq Stockholm as EG7.
EG7 first announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 on May 6, 2026, followed by a full game reveal on May 7.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is coming August 25, 2026, developer Cold Iron Studios and publisher Daybreak Game Company confirmed. The co-op shooter will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store simultaneously, according to MonsterVine and MP1st.
The Digital Standard Edition is priced at $49.99. The sequel expands on the original's co-op formula, now supporting up to four players, and adds new enemies, fresh locations, and deeper progression options, Noisy Pixel reported.
The original Aliens: Fireteam Elite supported three players. The sequel bumps that to four. Noisy Pixel noted that the expanded team size could change how players approach encounters. The game also teases new enemy types and a return to Engineer locations — a nod to the alien species first seen in Prometheus — signaling bigger and more varied fights.
Cold Iron Studios is again developing the game. Daybreak Game Company is publishing it in collaboration with 20th Century Games, the games division tied to the Alien film franchise, according to MarketScreener.
Two special edition packs launch alongside the base game. Ripley's Hive Exterminator Pack gives players an Ellen Ripley-inspired outfit and exclusive weapons. Herk Mondo's Pest Pack draws from comic-book lore, offering a hero-style look and matching weapon, Head Topics reported.
A third pack, Rain's Jackson's Star Pack, brings content from the 2024 film Alien: Romulus directly into the game. It includes exclusive cosmetics and weapon options tied to that movie's characters. All packs add cosmetic variety on top of the $49.99 base price.
Parent company Enad Global 7 first announced the game on May 6, 2026, with a full reveal following on May 7. EG7, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm under the ticker EG7, sees the Aliens franchise as a major growth driver. The company has around 560 employees across 12 offices, including about 360 game developers, according to MarketScreener.
EG7's portfolio also includes Piranha Games and Big Blue Bubble alongside Daybreak. The company's strategy centers on cooperative action games tied to well-known brands. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 fits squarely into that plan, with a global, same-day launch across all major platforms.
