Binance migrates NFT support from exchange to user wallets, setting July 2026 withdrawal deadline.

Binance says it is removing NFT support from its exchange platform and migrating the service to Binance Wallet, reflecting a broader industry shift toward self-custody and weaker NFT trading activity on exchanges. Users holding transferable NFTs must withdraw them to Binance Wallet or another compatible wallet by July 3, 2026, or the NFTs will become inaccessible through the exchange with no recovery window. Binance says it will proactively remind users during the withdrawal period and reimburse eligible withdrawal fees for up to 100,000 users, with additional support for Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) NFT holders. For non-transferable NFTs such as certain Binance Academy course certificates, users cannot withdraw and will instead receive PDF replacements after the upgrade. Overall, the change is designed to move collectible management into a wallet-based Web3 environment and set a clear deadline for users to act.
Binance said the transferable-NFT withdrawal window begins on **June 3, 2026**, when eligible users can move NFTs from the exchange to **Binance Wallet (or another compatible wallet)**; after the upgrade on July 3, users will no longer be able to access support for the old exchange-based NFT service.
For **non-CR7** NFTs, Binance outlined eligibility for reimbursements: up to **100,000 users** may receive **1 USDC** if they withdraw **directly from Binance NFT to Binance Wallet** between **June 3 and June 17**, using **BNB Smart Chain or Ethereum**, and having **held the NFT on Binance NFT before June 3**.
For **CR7** NFTs, Binance gave a **longer reimbursement window**: users who withdraw their CR7 NFTs from Binance NFT **by July 3, 2026** may receive withdrawal-fee reimbursements credited to **Spot Accounts by July 19** (with withdrawals required on **BNB Smart Chain** and NFTs held on the platform before June 3).
Binance framed the migration as a shift in asset control: the company said the exchange model meant Binance held the keys (“On the centralized exchange, the platform holds the keys”), while **Binance Wallet** puts users in control (“In Binance-Wallet, the user does”), positioning NFTs for tighter integration with the **BNB Smart Chain ecosystem** (including gaming assets and tokenized real-world assets).
