Blossoms have announced their sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake, due October 2 via ODD SK / Distiller Records. The Stockport five-piece shared new single Meet Me In Love — featuring backing vocals from Declan McKenna — and revealed their biggest-ever UK arena headline tour for November and December 2026, Official Charts reported.
The tour includes nights at London's Alexandra Palace and Manchester's Co-op Live, which holds 23,500 people. Tickets go on general sale at 9:30am on June 26, with a fan pre-sale at 9:30am on June 24 for those who pre-order the album at blossomsband.co.uk, Clash Music noted.
A Disco-Leaning Single Born in the Lake District
Meet Me In Love started on a songwriting trip to the Lake District with collaborators Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire. Frontman Tom Ogden said the track began with "a simple two-chord disco groove" that quickly "fell into place." The album's title is rooted in Blossoms' hometown. "The Wedding Cake" is a local nickname for Stockport Town Hall, a Victorian building with a white tiered clock tower. Tom Ogden got married there. The record is framed as a collection of everyday moments seen through an "extraordinary lens," Indie Is Not A Genre reported.

Ogden said the band finished it by "tracking live to tape" — meaning everything was captured in real time on analog equipment rather than pieced together digitally. That approach helped the original demo of Meet Me In Love survive largely intact onto the final record, according to SOS Music.
Arena Tour Marks a Career High for the Stockport Band
The 2026 dates are the band's largest headline run ever. Co-op Live in Manchester holds 23,500 people. Alexandra Palace in London holds around 10,400. Wrexham indie band The Royston Club will support on all dates, Doncaster Free Press reported.
For a band that started in small Stockport pubs, headlining Co-op Live is a significant milestone. Pre-ordering the album at blossomsband.co.uk unlocks the fan pre-sale on June 24 at 9:30am. General tickets go on sale two days later at the same time, Indie Is Not A Genre confirmed.
