Sephora and Marks and Spencer plan beauty rollout across 100 UK stores.

Marks & Spencer and Sephora will launch “Sephora at M&S” from spring 2027, with the beauty offer set to reach around 100 M&S stores across the UK and M&S.com. The curated range is expected to cover skincare, makeup, fragrance, haircare and bodycare, combining established and emerging brands with Sephora exclusives, alongside in-store beauty advisers; specific locations and brands have yet to be announced. Some M&S stores with existing beauty departments will be excluded from the initial rollout and retain their own-label-focused departments. The partnership supports M&S’s efforts to strengthen its fashion, home and beauty business and attract new customers, while expanding Sephora’s UK reach.
Sephora’s M&S concessions are expected to complement, rather than replace, the brand’s existing UK stores. Sephora Europe and Middle East president Catherine Spindler called the tie-up “a retail model that complements our existing formats”; Sephora had opened 17 UK shops since returning in 2022, according to the Financial Times.
The partnership comes as M&S competes with established beauty retailers: the Financial Times reported that John Lewis has been revamping its beauty halls and Boots’ performance has improved following investment in its beauty halls. It put the UK beauty market at £5.2bn, with M&S holding a 1.3% share.
The rollout will happen over time: the first Sephora at M&S locations are due to open from spring 2027, with the offer expanding to around 100 stores, rather than all locations launching at once.
Sephora UK managing director Sarah Boyd said the partnership would “re-define what high street beauty means” and bring beauty advisers to M&S stores, reaching customers in more communities where they already live, shop and spend time.
The deal follows years of speculation: WWD reported that it had last covered the possibility of Sephora and M&S working together in January 2008.
