South Korean Mobile Carriers Begin Selling Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses, Offering Bundled Discounts

SK Telecom is selling six Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 models (including matte black and shiny black) and is offering monthly device-installment discounts of up to 12,000–24,000 won on Best plans, with six T World stores plus online sales and hands-on demo spaces.
KT Corp provides a 10% discount to KT members, and pricing options include about 16,000 won per month on the Yogo 69 rate plan Device Type B, or around 7,000 won per month via the 'Choice Double Device' plan at KT Direct Shop.
LG Uplus offers device discounts of up to 80% depending on the plan, enabling substantial reductions in monthly costs for the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.
Shinsegae I&C will distribute Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta in Korea through Electro Mart inside E-Mart stores, Lotte Hi-mart, SSG.com, and the carriers’ online malls, excluding Meta’s own stores, with Ray-Ban Meta priced at about 690,000 won and Oakley Meta at about 900,000 won.
South Korea's three major mobile carriers — SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus — have begun selling Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 AI glasses, marking a significant push to bring AI wearables into the mainstream Korean market. The glasses, co-developed by Meta and EssilorLuxottica, feature a 12-megapixel camera, open-ear audio, five microphones, and up to eight hours of battery life per charge, according to Seoul Economic Daily.
Carriers are pairing the device with rate-plan discounts to soften the upfront cost. Depending on the plan, buyers can bring monthly payments down to roughly 7,000 to 16,000 Korean won. The launch reflects a broader industry push to move AI beyond smartphones and onto the body.

Shinsegae I&C is handling distribution of the glasses across Korea through retail and online channels, according to Seoul Economic Daily. Two models are available through Shinsegae I&C. Ray-Ban Meta is priced at about 690,000 won. The Oakley Meta, a higher-end option also made with EssilorLuxottica, is priced at about 900,000 won. The Oakley brand gives Meta a foothold in the premium sports eyewear segment.
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 responds to the wake phrase 'Hey Meta.' It can take photos, play audio, and handle hands-free calls through its open-ear speakers and five microphones. The charging case extends total battery life to up to 48 hours, making it practical for all-day use.
SK Telecom is touting potential integration with its own AI services, which could give its version added local appeal. KT has also opened physical demo spaces so customers can try the glasses before buying. Both carriers see the product as a way to grow beyond basic smartphone data plans and into the AI device market.
