Independence Gold Discovers High-Grade Gold and Silver at 3Ts Project, British Columbia

Independence Gold Corp. has reported a major drill hit at its 3Ts Project in British Columbia, intersecting 9.07 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 70.56 g/t silver over 31.04 metres at the Tommy Vein System, according to Owen Sound Sun Times. The results rank among the strongest the company has reported from the project to date.
The 3Ts Project sits 185 kilometres southwest of Prince George, BC, and covers roughly 35,486 hectares across thirty-one mineral claims, Recorder reports. The project lies just 16 kilometres southwest of Artemis Gold's producing Blackwater Mine, a detail that underscores the region's gold potential.
The Tommy Vein System sits within a broader network of structures hosted in rhyolitic rock at 3Ts. The 31.04-metre intercept is notable both for its width and its grade. A result above 9 g/t gold over that kind of width is considered strong in the low-sulphidation epithermal vein style of deposit, Cold Lake Sun reported.
Low-sulphidation epithermal veins are a type of gold deposit formed by hot fluids moving through cracks near the earth's surface. At 3Ts, at least twenty such mineralized veins have been mapped. They range from 50 to over 1,100 metres in length and reach true widths of up to 32 metres, according to Cochrane Times Post.
The company believes the Tommy Vein result is more than a one-off. Geologists say structural intersections — places where fault or fracture zones cross — appear to control where wider and higher-grade mineralization forms. The team thinks similar intersections elsewhere at 3Ts could host comparable zones, Pembroke Observer reported.
That interpretation is now shaping how Independence Gold prioritizes targets. The company said its technical team is reviewing all results and will use them to rank and generate new drill targets across the broader property, according to Ontario Farmer.
All drill core samples were sent to SGS Canada Inc. in Burnaby, British Columbia for analysis. SGS is an independent laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, meaning its testing methods meet strict international quality requirements, Goderich Signal Star reported.
The use of an accredited third-party lab adds credibility to the reported grades. In junior mining, independent verification matters — it reduces the risk that results are overstated before a project moves toward a formal resource estimate.
The Nechako Plateau region of central BC has drawn increased attention since Artemis Gold advanced the Blackwater Mine to production. The 3Ts Project's location just 16 kilometres away puts it in well-mapped geological ground, Daily Herald Tribune noted.
Independence Gold trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker IGO and also on the OTCQB and Frankfurt exchanges. The company holds the 3Ts Project as a wholly owned asset, meaning no joint venture partners dilute its ownership of the results or any future discovery.
