Rational Advisors Inc. opened a stake in SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) with 17,970 shares, about $1.65 million. In the broader BIL holder base, Bank of America Corp DE owns about 18,872,546 shares (roughly $1.73 billion) and AQR Capital Management LLC holds about 4,497,115 shares (roughly $412.6 million).
Bonfire Financial boosted its Vanguard Growth ETF (VUG) stake by 494.4% in the second quarter, to 102,807 shares valued at about $8.86 million.
Hollencrest Capital Management reduced its Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) stake by 83.2% to 74,077 shares, worth roughly $22.44 million, making QQQM about 1.5% of its portfolio.
TLT trading context shown in the period includes an opening price of $82.88 for the ETF, with a one-year range of $81.17 to $92.18, highlighting Treasuries’ price activity during the rotation.
Investors are rotating money across treasury and growth ETFs in the second quarter, a shift that reveals changing appetite for bonds and shorter-term safety. WatchlistNews reported that Okabena Investment Services bought 69,412 shares of the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT), valued at about $6 million, while Rational Advisors opened a position in short-term bills with 17,970 shares of the SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL), worth roughly $1.65 million.
Hollencrest Capital Management made sweeping changes to its holdings in the quarter. The firm slashed its Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) stake by 83.2%, WatchlistNews reported, selling 367,641 shares and leaving just 74,077 shares worth about $22.4 million. At the same time, Hollencrest nearly tripled its short-term bill bet, raising its BIL position 180.7% to 60,713 shares valued at $5.56 million.
These moves show a clear shift away from tech-heavy growth toward stability and shorter maturities. WatchlistNews also noted that Hollencrest boosted its Vanguard Growth ETF (VUG) stake substantially, adding 105,279 shares to reach 126,272 shares worth roughly $10.9 million.
The 20+ year Treasury market is drawing interest from multiple fund managers stepping in during the quarter. WatchlistNews reported that Okabena acquired 69,412 TLT shares, making it the fund's 24th-largest holding at 1.1% of portfolio weight. TLT itself traded with a one-year range of $81.17 to $92.18, showing volatility in bond prices as rates moved.
Hollencrest also expanded its TLT position, WatchlistNews revealed, boosting holdings by 497.1% in the same period. This dual interest from separate managers suggests institutional conviction that longer-dated bonds offer value at current yield levels.
One-to-three month Treasury bills are seeing growing demand as a parking spot for capital. TickerReport reported that Rational Advisors entered the BIL ETF with 17,970 shares for approximately $1.65 million, marking a fresh position for the firm. BIL offers investors quick maturity and near-zero duration risk.
Hollencrest's aggressive doubling of its BIL stake reflects the same appetite. The firm now holds 60,713 shares worth $5.56 million. For context, much larger players dominate this space: Bank of America holds roughly $1.73 billion in BIL, and AQR Capital Management owns about $412.6 million, showing the scale at which institutions are locking in bill yields.
