IHG Vignette Collection Expands Globally with Three Hari Luxury Hotels, Including Singapore's First

The Hari Singapore will be the Vignette Collection's first hotel in Singapore, converting the 324-room Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre into The Hari Singapore with an expected opening in early 2027.
Harilela Group's partnership with IHG has endured for more than five decades and now spans six hotels across Europe and Asia, including The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong.
The Hari properties offer destination-focused experiences, such as insider neighbourhood guides and tours, exemplified by experiences like 'The Hari Neighbourhood Guide Audio Tour' and 'Wan Chai By Night'.
Sustainability and community initiatives are highlighted alongside The Hari Art Prize, with certifications like EarthCheck and ongoing charity partnerships.
IHG’s Vignette Collection emphasizes its branding around 'Memorable Rituals' and 'A Means For Good', reinforcing its emphasis on authentic, locally rooted experiences across its member hotels.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has struck a three-hotel deal with Hong Kong's Harilela Group, bringing The Hari London, The Hari Hong Kong, and the forthcoming The Hari Singapore into its Vignette Collection brand, according to The Caterer and Boutique Hotelier. The move pushes Vignette Collection past 80 open and pipeline hotels worldwide and marks the collection's first entry into Singapore.
The partnership between IHG and the Harilela Group stretches back more than five decades. This latest agreement now covers six hotels across Europe and Asia, cementing one of the hotel industry's longest-running owner-operator relationships, Hospitality and Catering News reported.
The Hari Singapore will be a full conversion of the existing 324-room Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. The hotel sits in the heart of Orchard Road, the city's main shopping and lifestyle corridor. IHG expects the rebrand to complete in early 2027, making it the Vignette Collection's debut property in Singapore, according to Russia Tourism News.
The London and Hong Kong properties are already open under The Hari name. The Hari London is an 85-room boutique hotel in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Boutique Hotelier noted. The Hari Hong Kong sits in the Wan Chai district. Both will now gain access to IHG's global booking network and One Rewards loyalty program.
Vignette Collection is IHG's luxury and lifestyle brand for independent hotels. Member hotels keep their own name and look. They do not carry the IHG flag on their door. In return, they plug into IHG's global distribution system and loyalty base. The brand centers on two pillars it calls 'Memorable Rituals' and 'A Means For Good,' according to Democrata.
To join, a hotel must meet standards around design quality, guest experience, and community impact. The Hari properties fit that brief. Each hotel offers hyperlocal programming — The Hari London runs a neighbourhood audio guide, while The Hari Hong Kong hosts a 'Wan Chai By Night' tour for guests, Hospitality and Catering News reported.
Renowned British designer Tara Bernerd is behind the interiors across all three Hari properties. Her work gives the portfolio a coherent visual identity while keeping each hotel rooted in its own city. The design-led approach is central to how The Hari positions itself against larger luxury chains, according to The Caterer.
Sustainability sits alongside design as a brand priority. The Hari properties hold EarthCheck certification and run active charity partnerships. The Hari Art Prize adds a cultural layer, supporting emerging artists linked to each hotel's home city. These programs align directly with Vignette Collection's 'A Means For Good' framework, Russia Tourism News noted.
The Hari deal is part of a wider push by IHG to grow its luxury and lifestyle portfolio. Vignette Collection launched only in 2021 and has scaled quickly to more than 80 open and pipeline properties. Adding three gateway-city hotels in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore strengthens its foothold in key business and leisure markets, Boutique Hotelier reported.
For the Harilela Group, the franchise agreement gives its hotels a powerful global sales engine without surrendering brand control. The family-run firm has operated alongside IHG for over 50 years. Extending that relationship into a sixth hotel — and a new market — shows both sides see long-term value in keeping the partnership alive, according to Democrata.
