BNI Brings Franchise Ownership Opportunities to New York With New Networking Events

Business Network International (BNI), the world's largest business referral network, is bringing franchise ownership opportunities to the New York metro area with a series of in-person networking events, according to Leader Post. The events will take place across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island, targeting prospective franchise owners and local business leaders.
BNI currently operates in 77 countries, with over 355,000 member businesses participating in more than 11,800 chapters worldwide, The Sudbury Star reports. The New York events mark a focused push by the company to grow its franchise footprint in one of the country's most competitive business markets.
BNI is hosting three separate events across the New York metropolitan area. Each event covers a different borough or region — Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island. The goal is to reach a broad mix of local entrepreneurs and community members, according to Chatham Daily News.
Each event is open to the public. Prospective franchise owners, local business leaders, and anyone curious about the BNI model can attend. BNI says the events are designed to give attendees a hands-on look at what owning a BNI franchise actually involves, Clinton News Record reports.
BNI operates on a referral-based networking model. Member businesses join local chapters and exchange business referrals with each other. Franchise owners — called "Directors" — run those local chapters as their own business, according to Stratford Beacon Herald.
With over 11,800 chapters already active globally, BNI franchise owners tap into a proven structure. The company says its model gives franchisees a built-in community and a clear system for generating revenue through membership fees, Fairview Post reports.
The three-event series signals a deliberate investment in the New York market. BNI describes it as part of its "ongoing franchise development efforts," according to The Whig. New York's dense population and active small business community make it a prime target for expansion.
BNI's global scale — 355,000 member businesses across 77 countries — gives it strong credibility with prospective owners. The New York events are meant to convert that credibility into local franchise commitments, The Sudbury Star reports.
