Solera Advances ADAS Calibration Estimating with New Azimuth Integration

Solera has launched a new tool that breaks down the cost and steps needed to calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) — the sensors and cameras that power features like automatic braking and lane-keeping — directly inside collision repair estimates, according to AP News. The product, called Qapter® Estimating ADAS Integration, was built in partnership with Azimuth Claims Solutions and is designed to give insurers, appraisers, and repair shops a clearer picture of what ADAS repairs actually involve.
ADAS calibration has become one of the trickiest parts of modern collision repair. As more vehicles roll off the line packed with driver-safety tech, shops and insurers have struggled to account for the extra labor and precision those systems require. Solera says this integration solves that problem by pulling ADAS procedures out of the general repair estimate and giving them their own dedicated section.
The Qapter integration gives users a separate breakdown of every ADAS calibration procedure tied to a repair job, according to The Province. That includes the specific steps required, the conditions the shop needs to meet to perform them, and the labor time attached to each one. Before this tool, those details were often buried inside a broader estimate or left out entirely.

Modern vehicles increasingly rely on radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to power safety features. When a car is in a collision — even a minor one — those sensors can shift out of alignment.
