FireFly Metals Adopts New FFMFF Ticker Symbol on OTC Markets for US Investors

FireFly Metals Ltd is changing its OTC Markets ticker symbol from MNXMF to FFMFF, effective June 9, 2026. The new symbol matches the company's existing FFM code on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), making it easier for U.S. investors to find the stock National Post.
Managing Director Steve Parsons said the change will "improve visibility for U.S.-based investors" and provide "greater consistency across the markets." The company stressed that nothing else changes — no new shares, no CUSIP or ISIN change, and no action required by existing shareholders The Province.
The outgoing ticker, MNXMF, was a relic from the company's original identity as Monax Mining Ltd. When the firm rebranded to AuTECO Minerals and then to FireFly Metals in late 2023, the OTC symbol never got updated Trentonian. That left U.S. investors searching "FFM" on news feeds but seeing "MNXMF" at their broker — a confusing mismatch.
The name change to FireFly Metals became official on December 14, 2023, when the company began trading as FFM on the ASX after shareholders approved a one-for-15 share consolidation Fort McMurray Today. The OTC symbol lagged behind by more than two years before today's fix.
The ticker cleanup comes at a strategic moment. On May 11, 2026, FireFly spun off its Pickle Crow gold assets into a new company, Bellavista Resources (ASX: BVR), leaving the firm as a "pure-play copper-gold" developer focused entirely on the Green Bay project in Newfoundland, Canada Sault Star.
The Green Bay project currently holds 50.4 million tonnes of Measured and Indicated resources at 2.0% copper equivalent. CEO Darren Cooke has noted that the Measured and Indicated resource category grew 121%, which "underpins upcoming economic studies" National Post. A Mineral Resource Estimate update and a Scoping Study are both due before the end of Q2 2026.
FireFly raised $139 million AUD in a capital raise in late 2025. The company ended March 2026 with $206.8 million AUD in cash Pembroke Observer. That war chest is funding a 130,000-metre diamond drilling campaign at Green Bay as the team works toward a construction decision.
The company generates zero revenue and burns roughly $79.8 million AUD per year in free cash flow. Its market cap sits at approximately $1.52 billion AUD. That valuation rests entirely on the bet that Green Bay becomes a producing copper mine — and that copper prices hold up long enough to get there Prince George Post.
Trading on the OTC Markets platform lets U.S. investors buy FireFly shares in U.S. dollars during regular American market hours. They do not need a special international brokerage account. The ticker alignment means that any U.S. investor who reads about "FFM" on a mining news site can now search "FFMFF" at their broker and find the same company Fort Saskatchewan Record.
FireFly's 768.79 million ordinary shares will continue trading on all three markets — ASX, TSX, and OTC. The company's Chief Development Officer, Jessie Liu-Ernsting, is based in Toronto and serves as the primary contact for North American investors. The OTC platform is designed to support access to international and emerging growth companies through an established electronic trading system Brantford Expositor.
