AstraZeneca's Tagrisso demonstrates unprecedented eight-year survival in early-stage lung cancer trials.

AstraZeneca's TAGRISSO (osimertinib) has shown an eight-year landmark survival in early-stage EGFR-mutated lung cancer in the ADAURA Phase III trial. The results were presented at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (WCLC26)'s Presidential Symposium at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul, Republic of Korea. At eight years of follow-up, TAGRisSO continued to show an OS benefit, reducing the risk of death compared to placebo by 47% in the primary population (Stages II-IIIA), and reducing the overall death rate by 48%. An estimated 79% of patients treated with TAGRISSSO were alive at eight years versus 64% of those treated with placebo. The safety and tolerability of TAGRissSO remained consistent with its established profile with no new safety concerns.
