Sigenergy unveils smart solar-plus-storage solutions using AI to revolutionize energy grids.

At the 19th SNEC Exhibition in Shanghai, Sigenergy unveiled what it calls the energy industry's first all-domain AI agent — a system that acts on its own, not just on command. The Shanghai-based company, founded just four years ago in 2022, is betting that AI-driven automation, not cheaper hardware, is the future of solar and storage, according to Financial Post.
The announcement lands as Sigenergy rides a remarkable growth wave. Revenue surged from RMB 58 million in 2023 to RMB 9 billion in 2025. In April 2026, the company raised HK$4.4 billion (~$562 million) in an IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Shares more than doubled on the first day of trading, according to Montreal Gazette.
Sigenergy's headline product is SigenAgent — described as the first AI agent to work across all energy settings at once, from home solar systems to large utility grids. CEO Tony Xu, a former Huawei executive, says the idea is a fundamental shift. "True AI is not just a chatbot companion; it is a partner that understands your goals, executes tasks on your behalf, and continuously learns over time," he said, according to The Whig.
SigenAgent uses large language models, including DeepSeek and GPT, to perceive conditions, reason through options, and act without waiting for human input. Sigenergy calls this move from "reactive" dashboards to "autonomous, goal-driven systems." The company also released mySigen App 4.0, which brings SigenAgent features to existing compatible hardware through an over-the-air software update, according to The Province.
For businesses, Sigenergy showcased its Zero-Carbon Park solution. The pitch is simple: stop treating battery storage as a backup expense and start using it to make money. The system buys cheap power when prices are low and sells it — or cuts consumption — when prices spike, according to Recorder.
The results from real deployments are striking. In Warsaw, Poland, Sigenergy's AI cut electricity procurement costs by 50% and boosted solar export revenue by 220% to 300%. In Sweden, 2,500 installations cut average electricity bills by 70.3%. Managing Director Will Hall of Sigenergy Australia noted that electricity prices in that market "fluctuate dozens of times daily," making manual oversight impossible, according to Sault Star.
On the hardware side, Sigenergy launched its 2026 Utility Scale Strategy. The centerpiece is a new H1/H2 inverter platform built around a 506kW inverter. It features 18 independent MPPTs and supports 1000V AC systems to cut resistive energy losses. President of Global Sales Roy Zhang says the platform delivers a 19% reduction in Balance of System costs — the wiring, labor, and equipment beyond the panels — and a 1.5% increase in energy yield, according to Fort Saskatchewan Record.
The company also showed SigenTerra, a grid-scale storage system capable of millisecond-level command dispatch. This lets it participate in Virtual Power Plants, where groups of batteries act together to stabilize the grid. Sigenergy holds a 28.6% global segment share in stackable all-in-one storage as of 2024 and reported a product failure rate of just 0.24% across 200,000+ power stations worldwide, according to Brantford Expositor.
Not everyone is cheering. Security researchers warn that letting AI agents take autonomous control of grid infrastructure is a serious risk. Dario Perfettibile of cybersecurity firm Kiteworks points out that 91% of energy organizations lack proper network isolation for their AI systems. If a nation-state actor targets an autonomous grid agent, the consequences could be severe, according to Chatham Daily News.
The RAND Corporation and Brookings Institution have called for mandatory AI disclosure rules for power utilities. Their concern: as energy systems shift to "multi-agent" AI setups — where multiple autonomous systems talk to each other — there is no clear legal framework for who is responsible if an AI agent causes a blackout. The U.S. Department of Energy also flagged autonomous AI as a top grid management risk in its 2026 assessment, according to Hanna Herald.
