Doha Debates Helps International Students Find Confidence and Trust Their Voices

Doha Debates has invited 20 students from Qatar, Canada, and Mexico to participate in a town hall debate in Toronto, Canada. The debate, titled "Football fandom: Community or commodity?", explored the impact of big money on football fandom. While their preparation covered debate techniques and discussions, many students found the most valuable outcome was learning to trust their own voice amid differing views. The students' transformation was not by chance but by design, structured to help them manage stress, navigate differing opinions and build confidence.
