BlackRock Canada Announces August 2026 Cash Distributions for iShares ETFs on TSX and Cboe Canada

BlackRock Asset Management Canada Limited has announced its August 2026 cash distributions for the iShares ETFs listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and Cboe Canada, according to Leader Post. Unitholders of record will receive these payments on August 26, 2026.
Three of the funds — XAGG.U, XCBU.U, and XTLT.U — will pay distributions in U.S. dollars rather than Canadian dollars, Edmonton Sun noted. BlackRock Canada is an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc., the world's largest asset manager.
The August distributions cover a broad range of iShares ETFs traded on Canadian exchanges, The Province reported. These funds give Canadian investors access to a wide variety of asset classes. That includes stocks, bonds, and other securities from markets around the world.
BlackRock Canada manages these exchange-traded funds, or ETFs. ETFs trade on stock exchanges just like individual stocks. Investors buy units of the fund, and those units pay out distributions when the fund earns income, according to The Whig.
Most iShares ETFs pay distributions in Canadian dollars. But XAGG.U, XCBU.U, and XTLT.U are different. These three funds pay in U.S. dollars, Northern News reported. That matters for investors who hold U.S.-dollar accounts or want to avoid currency conversion costs.
XTLT.U tracks long-term U.S. Treasury bonds. XCBU.U focuses on U.S. corporate bonds. XAGG.U covers a broad mix of U.S. bonds. All three are fixed-income products, meaning they aim to generate regular income for investors, according to Fort McMurray Today.
Investors must be unitholders of record to receive the August distribution. The payment date is set for August 26, 2026, Cochrane Times Post reported. Investors who buy units after the record date will not receive this round of payments.
BlackRock Canada releases distribution announcements like this one on a monthly basis. Regular cash distributions are a key reason many investors choose ETFs. They provide a steady income stream without requiring investors to sell their holdings, The Observer noted.
BlackRock Canada operates as an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc. The parent company manages trillions of dollars in assets globally. Its iShares brand is one of the most widely used ETF families in Canada and around the world, according to Whitecourt Star.
Canadian investors use iShares ETFs to build diversified portfolios at low cost. Listing on both the TSX and Cboe Canada gives investors more options for buying and selling units. BlackRock Canada continues to be a dominant force in the country's growing ETF industry, Stratford Beacon Herald reported.
