North Bay Battalion Trades Centre Quinn Kipfer to the Brantford Bulldogs
The North Bay Battalion traded centre Quinn Kipfer to the Brantford Bulldogs for North Bay's 12th-round pick in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection. Pincher Creek Echo reported the move gives Kipfer a fresh start after limited time with the Battalion last season.
Young Draft Pick Gets Second Chance
Kipfer was a fifth-round selection in 2024 from the Huron Perth Lakers U16s. Sault Star noted he played just two games for North Bay last season without scoring. The trade gives the centre an opportunity to develop elsewhere in the OHL.
Battalion Moves Forward with Youth Development
Adam Dennis, the Battalion's director of hockey operations, called the trade an opportunity for a young man who has earned it. Chatham Daily News reported the Battalion is shifting focus to younger prospects heading into the new season.
The team opens its orientation camp Monday for younger players. Training camp follows shortly after as North Bay prepares for the upcoming OHL season.
Brantford Gains Forward Depth
