Ameritec IPS Unveils QAmChain for HEWE Ecosystem Amid U.S. Post-Quantum Cryptography Push

Ameritec IPS has announced that QAmChain, its quantum-resistant blockchain, has finished development and entered official auditing, according to Newsfile Corp.. The Houston-based firm timed the announcement to coincide with two executive orders signed by President Donald Trump on June 22, 2026, directing federal agencies to migrate to post-quantum cryptography standards by December 31, 2030.
The move puts Ameritec IPS squarely inside a fast-moving national push. Trump's orders described "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks — where adversaries steal encrypted data today to crack it once quantum computers mature — as a serious threat to the U.S. digital economy, according to The White House.
On June 22, 2026, Trump signed two executive orders: "Ushering in the Next Frontier of Quantum Innovation" and "Securing the Nation Against Advanced Cryptographic Attacks" (EO 14412), according to Mayer Brown. Federal agencies must secure sensitive systems with post-quantum cryptography by December 31, 2030. Post-quantum authentication faces a slightly later deadline of December 31, 2031, per Cloudflare.
National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross will coordinate the transition across agencies. The Department of War — the administration's term for what was previously called the Department of Defense — must update its contractor compliance rules to require post-quantum standards from all suppliers by 2030, according to Industrial Cyber. Secretary Pete Hegseth must also field three quantum sensor projects by September 30, 2028.
QAmChain is not a security patch. It is a full rebuild of the old AmChain blockchain, which launched in 2024 using Proof-of-Authority. The new protocol embeds quantum-resistant algorithms — based on lattice-based cryptography, the same math behind NIST's August 2024 standards — at every layer, including transaction validation and consensus, according to GlobeNewswire. It is designed to handle 30,000 transactions per second with sub-second finality.
Co-Founder William Tran said building on traditional 256-bit encryption is like building on a "foundation already scheduled for demolition," according to Visionary Financial. QAmChain will work alongside QB-CURE, Ameritec's biometric digital wallet, which uses facial and fingerprint authentication. The goal is to make old-style recovery phrases obsolete and protect user funds even if login credentials are leaked.
The urgency behind these moves grew sharply in March 2026. Google Quantum AI researchers published a paper showing that the quantum computing power needed to break ECDSA encryption — the kind widely used in blockchains and financial systems — is 20 times lower than experts previously thought, according to Webopedia. That finding effectively moved up the "Q-Day" threat timeline, the point when quantum computers can crack today's encryption.
NIST had already finalized three post-quantum cryptography standards in August 2024: FIPS 203, FIPS 204, and FIPS 205. Those standards form the technical backbone for both the federal migration and projects like QAmChain. Cloudflare moved its own full post-quantum security target to 2029, calling the 2026 executive orders a necessary "fire" to speed up private-sector adoption, according to Cloudflare.
Analysts at Gartner warned that the federal timeline is "aggressive" and may create significant "confusion and complexity" for enterprises and smaller vendors who must quickly inventory every system and fix vulnerabilities, according to Network World. Jordan Kenyon, a senior quantum scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton, called post-quantum adoption "imperative for both national and economic security" but acknowledged the hard deadlines will force the hand of companies that have moved slowly.
The stakes extend well beyond government systems. Ameritec IPS points to the $4 trillion tokenized real estate market as one area at serious risk. Properties with 20-to-30-year holding periods cannot rely on classical encryption that may be broken before those assets change hands, according to Visionary Financial. QAmChain also targets healthcare, aiming to secure electronic health records against future decryption attacks as part of the broader HEWE ecosystem.
