SentientX Releases Identity Bank as Deepfake Fraud and AI Threats Surge

Gartner found that 62% of 302 surveyed security leaders had experienced at least one deepfake-related incident in the previous 12 months. Deloitte projects that generative-AI-enabled fraud losses in the United States could reach $40 billion by 2027, compared with $12.3 billion in 2023.
A prominent example cited is the Arup fraud, in which employees at the engineering firm’s Hong Kong office transferred $25.6 million after participating in a video call where the other attendees were deepfakes. Resemble AI also recorded more than 2,000 verified deepfake incidents in the third quarter of 2025, with YouTube accounting for about 30% of them.
The access-control guidance says permissions should be assigned to narrowly defined capabilities rather than broad roles: a service that can read data should not automatically be allowed to write it, and a deployment process should not necessarily be able to modify training data. This approach is especially important because automated jobs, services, devices and pipelines can outnumber human users by orders of magnitude.
