New Training Program Improves Ability to Spot Fake AI-Generated Faces

DISCERN-AI is a 15–20 minute, three-part training that teaches people to reinterpret visual cues when judging faces: while we rely on familiarity and proportion, these can mislead; and polished, high-quality images are often AI-generated, whereas distinctive, quirky images are more likely to be real.
