Crimson Desert Patch Unleashes Pinball Fun, Wyvern Riding, and Enhanced Combat

At the Delesyian Institute inn, the Pinball minigame pays out tokens that players can trade at the “Marni Token Exchange” for specific loot such as “Material Boxes of Fortune,” “Abyss Artifacts,” multiple chests, a helm, pieces of furniture, and even “crafting recipes.”
Orb Roll—found near the Great Gate of Urdavah—includes prize categories called out in the patch coverage, including “carpets,” “lights,” and a “Golden Apple.”
For the improved re-blockade system, Pearl Abyss specifies that if liberation becomes necessary, players should expect “better rewards,” including “trade goods” and “regional contribution,” in addition to other benefits.
The update also adjusts equipment interactions: the item description for “Sigil of Valor” now notes it can be equipped on “Dogs” and “Baby Wyverns,” and the article adds that after the next patch “the Iron Eagle and Phoenix will also be able to equip the Sigil of Valor.”
Pearl Abyss dropped Patch 1.10.00 for Crimson Desert on June 5, 2026, adding two new minigames, rideable wyverns, and a major overhaul of its stronghold defense system. The update went live across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at 03:30 UTC, with the Mac App Store version still in progress, according to PlayStation Universe.
The game has sold over 5 million copies since launch, GamingBolt reports. Pearl Abyss says the patch responds directly to player feedback on "exploration, progression, and combat."
Players can now find a Pinball table at the inn near the Delesyian Institute. Each game costs just 1 Silver to play, AllThings. How reports. Winning pays out tokens redeemable at the "Marni Token Exchange" run by an NPC named Jasper at Delesyia Harbor. Prizes include Material Boxes of Fortune, Abyss Artifacts, 13 types of furniture, and 3 types of gear crafting recipes.
A second minigame, Orb Roll, sits near the East Tower of the Great Gate of Urdavah. Game Rant describes it as "challenging and addictive." Its prize pool includes carpets, lights, and a Golden Apple. Both minigames give players something to do beyond combat and open-world exploration.
Patch 1.10.00 turns earlier companion mechanics into real travel tools. Baby Wyverns and Kuku Bird Chicks can now be fed through a growth process. A Baby Wyvern must reach Level 3 before it can be registered as a mount, according to DL Compare.
The patch also updates the item description for the "Sigil of Valor," a gear piece that can now be equipped on Dogs and Baby Wyverns. Pearl Abyss confirmed that the Iron Eagle and Phoenix will gain Sigil of Valor support in the next patch, hinting that aerial combat or specialized traversal with those creatures is coming soon.
The Re-blockade system — which lets enemy factions reclaim liberated regions — got a significant upgrade. Patch 1.10.00 adds two new stages called Battle and Reconstruct. Players can now assign protection to major strongholds. The system moves away from a simple "occupied or not" state toward something more dynamic, OnMSFT reports.
If liberation becomes necessary, Pearl Abyss promises "better rewards," including trade goods and regional contribution bonuses. This deeper economy ties stronghold defense directly into the broader progression loop, giving players a stronger reason to engage with regional control.
Reception to 1.10.00 has been mixed. IGN called the pinball addition "random, but brilliant," praising Pearl Abyss for throwing "curveballs" to keep the game fresh. Eurogamer noted the developer is on a "patch roll" following last week's controller remapping update.
On Reddit, some players report putting 280 hours into the game and still finding new features. Others argue the minigame additions distract from fixing the game's "clunky movement." Technical critics on YouTube question whether Pearl Abyss is papering over optimization issues with fresh content instead of addressing fundamental problems.
