Crimson Desert Launches Cross-Save Across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, Unifying Player Progress

Cross-save uses a single Pearl Abyss ID with one cross-save slot per ID, and players can link and unlink platform accounts (for example, linking to a PSN account).
Mac App Store version is not available yet; Mac support is planned for a future update after the initial cross-save rollout.
There is a known AMD driver issue with Crimson Desert when using certain drivers (26.6.2 or higher); users are advised to revert to 26.6.1 or earlier, or wait for 26.6.4+.
A bug fix addressed NPCs passing through open wooden gates, improving NPC pathing as part of the patch notes.
Pearl Abyss has added cross-save to Crimson Desert, letting players carry their progress across PS5, Xbox, PC (Steam), and the Epic Games Store with a single save file. The update, version 1.14.00, is one of the most requested features since the game launched. GamingBolt calls it a major step forward for players who own the game on more than one platform.
The feature works through a single Pearl Abyss ID. Each account gets one cross-save slot. Players can link and unlink platform accounts — such as a PSN account — at any time. Mac support is not yet available but is planned for a future update, according to Noisy Pixel.
Cross-save in Crimson Desert ties to your Pearl Abyss ID. You get one cross-save slot per account. Link your Steam, Epic Games Store, PSN, or Xbox profile to that ID. Then your save file follows you everywhere. NotebookCheck confirmed the feature is live now on PS5, Xbox Series X, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
There is one important limit. Cross-save does not mean cross-purchase. If you bought an item on PS5, it stays on PS5. Paid content is locked to the platform where you spent the money. Only your progress — quests, character level, and gear — travels with you, according to GameGPU.
Mac players will have to wait. The Mac App Store version of Crimson Desert is not part of this rollout. Pearl Abyss says Mac cross-save support is coming in a future update, but no exact date has been given. Noisy Pixel noted that Mac timing is still in progress.
PC players on AMD graphics cards should also take note. There is a known bug with AMD drivers version 26.6.2 or higher. The game can have issues when running those drivers. Pearl Abyss advises players to roll back to driver version 26.6.1 or earlier. Alternatively, wait for version 26.6.4 or higher, which is expected to fix the problem, per UpdateCrazy.
Update 1.14.00 includes a long list of fixes beyond cross-save. A bug in the quest "A Dwarf's Concern" — which stopped players from finishing it — has been resolved, according to Noisy Pixel. Developers also fixed a character control issue that triggered when a pet jumped on a bed. NPC pathing got a fix too: NPCs were walking straight through open wooden gates, which is now corrected.
Combat also received attention. Damiane's Skystep and Aerial Force Palm moves were adjusted for feel and control. The patch aligns Skystep controls with Vertical Flight, making the two moves more consistent. UpdateCrazy notes that localization text was also improved across several languages, tightening the overall player experience ahead of broader cross-platform play.
Cross-save is a big deal for action RPGs with large, time-heavy progression systems. Crimson Desert players who bought the game on both PC and console no longer need to choose one save file. They can play on a PS5 at home and pick up the same save on a gaming PC, or vice versa. GamingBolt described it as a feature that many players had been waiting for since launch.
Pearl Abyss appears to be using this patch as a stability push ahead of future content. The combination of cross-save, bug fixes, and combat tweaks suggests the studio is working to smooth out the experience across all platforms. Mac users remain the one group still waiting, but the developer has confirmed their version is on the roadmap, per NotebookCheck.
