Leaked Galaxy S27 Ultra cases suggest a major redesign for the camera layout.

Leaked third-party cases and CAD-based renders suggest Samsung may give the Galaxy S27 Ultra a broad, raised camera island, replacing the separate lens-ring design used on recent Ultra phones. The case designs show two large camera openings arranged vertically on the left and an elongated section on the right with openings that may be for a third camera and the LED flash. Their placement appears to differ from some earlier renders, and the case openings do not establish where the laser autofocus sensor will sit—or confirm the final camera hardware. Reports also suggest the Galaxy S27 Pro could share the redesign, but Samsung has not announced either phone or confirmed the leaked layout.
The leaked cases show a progression through four versions, from a broad, rough camera opening to molds with individually defined lens and component cutouts; the latest version adds openings within the right-side oval.
One proposed reason for the redesign on the S27 Pro and Ultra is that it could free internal space for built-in Qi2 magnets, allowing use of Qi2 accessories without a special case. The S27 and S27+ may keep the existing design and miss out on that feature.
The camera-bar design has been likened to the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, with another report comparing the expected S27 Pro and Ultra redesign to the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
