Vladimir Putin signed a decree restricting access to a broad range of Russian fuel and energy data, including refinery processing and production, export volumes and prices, buyers and intermediaries, shipment routes and terminals, customs statistics, and planned or completed fuel sales. The restrictions apply to government-published information and, according to reports, its dissemination by media and other online users, while companies may disclose information about their own operations; the government is to specify the covered products.
