Prime Video renews Reacher for a sixth season following massive global viewership for Season 4.

Prime Video has renewed “Reacher” for a sixth season while Season 5 is still in production, marking the show’s second renewal this year. The decision follows strong Season 4 viewership: Amazon says it drew 66 million viewers worldwide in its first 28 days, and the series has reached 200 million viewers overall. Season 5, based on Lee Child’s novel “Make Me,” is filming in Toronto; the book that will inspire Season 6 has not been announced.
Season 6 was ordered just 12 days after the Season 4 finale, a fast renewal intended to help keep the series on an annual release cadence.
Amazon said Seasons 2, 4 and 3, in that order, are Prime Video’s three most-viewed returning seasons; Seasons 2 and 4 also rank among the platform’s five most-viewed seasons of any original series.
International viewers made up 58% of Season 4’s audience, with particularly strong performance in the U.K., Germany and Brazil.
Season 4 recorded five consecutive weeks above one billion minutes of U.S. viewing on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, reaching 1.18 billion minutes in its latest reported week.
The series has expanded into a franchise with the Maria Sten-led spinoff “Neagley”; Deadline reported the spinoff was looking promising for a second-season renewal.
