Kilner Capital Advisors Makes Substantial ETF Investments Across Broad Market and Value Funds

Kilner Capital Advisors LLC disclosed new ETF purchases including a starter position in the Schwab US Broad Market ETF (SCHB), buying 19,958 shares worth about $523,000, where SCHB is now roughly 0.5% of its portfolio and its 14th-largest holding. Other investors also adjusted SCHB positions, with some large firms adding significant shares while others increased holdings more modestly. The firm also initiated a new stake in the Dimensional International Value ETF (DFIV), acquiring 60,972 shares valued at about $3.04 million, making it about 2.9% of its holdings and the 11th-largest position. Beyond Kilner, Brighton Jones LLC made a major add to SCHB in Q4—boosting its stake by 1,209.6% to 228,625 shares (about $5.19 million) after purchasing an additional 211,168 shares.
For DFIV, Embree Financial Group increased its position in Q4 by 24.1%, ending with 379,530 shares worth about $18.94 million after adding 73,689 shares—an example of other institutions also scaling up around Kilner’s entry.
Kilner reported owning about 0.16% of the outstanding shares of DFAT in its most recent SEC filing, alongside DFAT being its second-largest holding at roughly 18.5% of the portfolio.
