BNB Chain Unveils New AI-Focused Layer-1 Network for High-Speed Autonomous Trading

TxStream eliminates the public mempool and routes transactions directly to block leaders, reducing latency and front-running; this aligns with BNB Chain’s prior H1 2026 upgrades that cut block intervals from 750ms to 450ms and boosted throughput to about 5,200 TPS.

BNB Chain is building a brand-new Layer-1 blockchain designed specifically for AI-powered, autonomous trading — and it wants to match the speed of centralized exchanges while keeping users in control of their own funds. The new chain targets more than 100,000 transactions per second, sub-50 millisecond preconfirmations, and full finality in under one second, according to Decrypt.
A testnet is planned for late 2026, with mainnet expected in early 2027. The new chain will run alongside — not replace — the existing BNB Smart Chain, connected via a native bridge and shared asset framework, Watcher Guru reported.
One of the biggest features is the removal of the public mempool. Normally, pending transactions sit in a public waiting area where bots can see them and jump ahead — a tactic called front-running. BNB Chain's new TxStream tool routes trades directly to the block leader instead. No public waiting area means no peeking, according to Head Topics.
This builds on upgrades BNB Chain already made in the first half of 2026. Those changes cut block intervals from 750 milliseconds down to 450 milliseconds and pushed throughput to roughly 5,200 transactions per second. The new chain would raise that ceiling to more than 100,000 TPS — a roughly 19-fold jump. A separate fast lane called PriorityLane will also let time-sensitive trades skip ahead safely, Decrypt noted.
BNB Chain is also launching BNB Agent Studio and a matching SDK. Developers can spin up an autonomous trading agent in about 15 minutes, with hosting, payments, and identity handled automatically. The Studio integrates with AWS Bedrock's AgentCore and large language model gateways, letting AI programs trade on-chain without human input, Yahoo Tech reported.
Each AI agent gets a persistent digital identity under a standard called ERC-8004. Think of it like a passport that travels with the agent across apps and chains. BNB Chain says tens of thousands of agents are already deployed in its ecosystem today, with operators earning ongoing income from running them.
The new Layer-1 is not a replacement for BNB Smart Chain. BSC stays in place as the main settlement hub. The new chain plugs in via a native bridge and a shared asset framework, so assets can move between the two. Watcher Guru noted that liquidity will be split across all four platforms in Binance's stack.
Under the hood, the new chain uses LtHash-based storage and parallel execution to hit its throughput targets. These are technical tools that let the network process many transactions at the same time instead of one by one. The long-term roadmap pushes even further — BNB Chain envisions a hybrid compute architecture targeting around 1 million TPS by 2028, Decrypt reported.
BNB Chain is baking privacy directly into the new network. Confidential transactions will hide sensitive trade details, while selective disclosure lets users share only what regulators need to see. The chain also aims for Web2-style ease of use through features like transaction batching, scheduled execution, and passkey signing — no crypto expertise required, according to Yahoo Tech.
Looking further ahead, the project is researching quantum-resistant security. Quantum computers, once powerful enough, could break today's encryption. BNB Chain wants to get ahead of that risk before it becomes a real threat, Decrypt noted. Together, these features signal a long-term bet that AI and crypto will merge — and that BNB Chain wants to own that intersection.
