Hivelocity Launches Streaming Bundle to Help Video Platforms Scale with Confidence

Hivelocity has launched a new Streaming Bundle, a dedicated infrastructure package built for video platforms and media services that need to move large amounts of content reliably. The bundle combines single-tenant servers, dedicated network resources, and built-in DDoS protection on every machine, according to Yahoo Finance.
The company's CEO, Ned Pope, said the product was designed to give streaming platforms "predictable bandwidth costs" instead of the fluctuating bills that often come with shared cloud infrastructure. The launch targets a market where unexpected traffic spikes can break both performance and budgets.
The Streaming Bundle is split into three distinct tiers. Engineering Compute handles pre-production workloads — things like encoding tests and development pipelines. Production Compute powers live, audience-facing services. Delivery Compute focuses on getting content to end users at scale, according to ADVFN.
Each tier runs on bare metal, meaning customers get a full physical server rather than a shared virtual one. That setup removes the "noisy neighbor" problem, where other users on the same hardware slow things down during peak traffic.
Bandwidth pricing is one of the biggest pain points for video platforms. Cloud providers often charge based on the amount of data transferred, which means a viral moment or a live event can trigger a massive, unexpected bill. Hivelocity says its bundle replaces that model with flat, predictable costs, Yahoo Finance reported.
CEO Ned Pope said the goal was to let platforms "scale with confidence." For a streaming service, knowing the infrastructure bill ahead of time makes planning much easier — especially around major broadcasts or product launches.
Every server in the Streaming Bundle includes network-level DDoS protection. DDoS attacks flood a server with fake traffic until it crashes. For a live stream or on-demand platform, even a few minutes of downtime can cost viewers and revenue. Building the protection in at launch — rather than as an add-on — is a key part of Hivelocity's pitch, according to UK ADVFN.
Hivelocity already offers bare metal servers, edge computing, and cloud infrastructure. The Streaming Bundle carves out a focused product for media companies that have outgrown shared hosting but want simpler pricing than major cloud providers offer, Yahoo Finance reported.
The video streaming market continues to grow fast, with more platforms launching live sports, events, and on-demand content every year. Hivelocity is betting that dedicated, single-tenant infrastructure — with clear pricing — is what that market needs to scale without surprises.
