OLX Group Appoints Andrew Garrihy as Chief Marketing Officer to Lead Global AI Strategy

OLX Group has named Andrew Garrihy as its new Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 July 2026, according to PR Newswire. Garrihy will join the Executive Team and report directly to CEO Christian Gisy, tasked with driving the next phase of OLX's global marketing strategy.
The appointment comes on the back of strong momentum for the company. Yahoo Finance reported that OLX posted global revenue of US$992 million for the full year ended 31 March 2026 — a 28% jump year-on-year.
Garrihy arrives with a deep resume in global marketing. He held senior roles at Huawei, Qualcomm, Samsung, and Vodafone. At each company, he led teams focused on building and transforming brands across EMEA, Asia, and LATAM.
Those roles put him in charge of large, complex markets at some of the world's biggest tech and telecom brands. That experience is expected to help OLX sharpen its identity as it competes across dozens of countries, according to Yahoo Finance.
One of Garrihy's key mandates will be ensuring OLX's global marketplaces are fully integrated with AI. This is not a new direction for the company. PR Newswire noted that OLX has invested over $200 million in AI across its platforms since 2018.
That level of investment signals how seriously OLX is betting on AI to power its next stage of growth. Garrihy's marketing strategy will need to reflect and communicate that shift to users and buyers across its markets.
OLX's 28% revenue growth — reaching nearly $1 billion — gives the company strong footing heading into this next phase. The result for the year ended 31 March 2026 marks a significant milestone for the group, according to Yahoo Finance.
With that financial performance behind it, OLX appears ready to invest in brand-building at scale. Garrihy's hire suggests the company wants a unified, AI-powered marketing identity to match its commercial ambitions worldwide.
OLX describes itself as a global online classifieds leader, operating marketplaces across multiple regions. The Executive Team addition of a dedicated CMO signals a shift toward more coordinated global marketing, reported PR Newswire.
CEO Christian Gisy will oversee Garrihy directly. That reporting line places marketing at the top table of OLX's leadership, underscoring how important brand and growth strategy are to the company's next chapter.
