Five notable cars are making their final exit from showrooms in 2026, and buyers who act fast could score historic deals. According to Edmunds, the list includes the Ford Escape, Volkswagen ID.4, Jaguar F-Pace, Toyota GR Supra, and Tesla Model S — each ending production for very different reasons.
The wave of cancellations reflects a messy turning point in the auto industry. Electric vehicle demand has cooled sharply, joint manufacturing deals have collapsed, and automakers are retooling factories for next-generation products. Ford Escape and VW ID.4 Disappear as EV Demand Cools
Ford officially stopped building the Escape at its Louisville, Kentucky plant on December 17, 2025. The plant is now undergoing a $2 billion overhaul to build a new electric pickup truck. The top-spec F-Pace SVR 575 Edition comes with a supercharged 567-horsepower V8 engine. Auto experts say this version in particular could appreciate in value as one of Jaguar's final gas-powered vehicles.
