Faraday Future Launches EAI Robotics Education Ecosystem, Introducing Humanoid and Learning Robots for All

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. is making a dramatic bet on robots. The California-based company will host a major launch event on June 16 at its Los Angeles headquarters, unveiling a full lineup of Embodied AI (EAI) robots aimed at schools and families, according to Business Wire. The star of the show: the world's first full-size humanoid robot to natively support NVIDIA's Sonic full-body motion control system.
The announcement marks a sharp turn for a company once known for its troubled luxury electric vehicle, the FF 91. Now, founder and Global CEO YT Jia says FF is "an AI-driven platform" — and he wants children to start using physical AI robots the same way they learn to code or speak a second language.
FF will introduce three core products at the June 16 event. First is a full-size humanoid robot built on NVIDIA Sonic, a system that controls whole-body movement. Second is the "Universe" — a three-part modular robot designed for advanced AI research. Third is the FX Navi, a smaller robot built specifically for children, with a target price rumored under $1,500, according to Barchart.
The FX Navi is designed as a "low barrier to entry" device. FF wants kids to use it as a first step into the physical AI world. The full-size humanoid, by contrast, carries a rumored price of $45,000 to $60,000 — putting it firmly in the professional or high-income market, according to Markets Financial Content.
The native support for NVIDIA Sonic sets FF's humanoid apart from rivals. Sonic handles full-body motion — meaning the robot moves more fluidly and naturally. "By adopting NVIDIA's Sonic system, FF bypasses years of motion-control R&D, allowing them to compete immediately with the fluidity of Boston Dynamics," said Dr. Aris Thorne of the Robotics Research Institute.
This is a meaningful shortcut. Building motion-control software from scratch takes years and costs hundreds of millions of dollars. By plugging into NVIDIA's existing platform, FF can focus on the education layer — the curriculum, apps, and ecosystem — rather than fighting hardware battles it may not win.
FF's history makes this pivot hard to ignore. The company spent years failing to mass-produce the FF 91 electric SUV. It went through liquidity crises, restructuring, and leadership changes. Now it is asking the market to believe it can build and ship humanoid robots at scale. "FF has a history of high-profile announcements with delayed execution. The market is looking for shipping dates, not just prototypes," one Bloomberg Intelligence analyst warned.
The humanoid robot market is growing fast. It is projected to expand at a 38% compound annual growth rate between 2024 and 2030, according to Market Research Future. If FF can capture even a small slice of the $30 billion global education technology market with its "Three-in-One" ecosystem — hardware, software, and curriculum — it could build the recurring revenue it has long lacked, according to Hastings Tribune.
Not everyone is celebrating. Putting sensor-laden robots into classrooms raises serious questions. The "Universe" robot likely uses extensive sensors to map its environment. That data — collected around children — could run into conflict with laws like the EU's AI Act. Financial skeptics remain cautious too. FF reported a narrowed net loss in Q1 2026, but cash reserves are still thin. Scaling production of complex robots with servos, joints, and AI chips is far more demanding than building cars. The June 16 event will need to show more than flashy prototypes — it needs to show a real path to shipping products that schools and families can actually buy.
