Colquemayo Drilling Contract Advanced

King Copper Discovery Corp. has locked in a drilling contractor for the first phase of its massive 36,000-meter diamond drilling program at Colquemayo in southern Peru, according to Recorder. The company selected the contractor after site visits and technical reviews evaluated their depth experience and track records. This move follows Peru's approval of the company's environmental permit in Moquegua.

The drilling will target high-grade copper zones found in earlier exploration work. Crews will drill from 40 platforms across 59 holes to test multiple mineralization areas. This 36,000-meter campaign represents a major step toward defining the resource at Colquemayo.
