AMG National Trust Bank Expands Holdings in Kopin, CVS, Glacier, and L3Harris

AMG National Trust Bank holds about 0.08% of Kopin, while Kopin’s broader institutional ownership stands at roughly 30.96%, with major holders including State Street (11,119,885 shares), Telemark Asset Management (7,000,000), Geode Capital (3,497,900), and Vanguard (9,376,264).
Glacier Bancorp (GBCI) remains highly institutionally owned (about 80.17%), and analysts have become more bullish: Stephens targeted a $54 price, Piper Sandler raised to $60, and Weiss Ratings upgraded Glacier Bancorp to a buy recommendation.
CVS Health (CVS) addition: AMG acquired 56,464 shares (~$5.84 million), and the stock shows heavy institutional ownership (about 80.66%), with CVS also paying a quarterly dividend on August 3.
L3Harris Technologies (LHX) position: AMG bought 16,858 shares (~$4.9 million); institutional ownership is high (about 84.76%), with top holders including Vanguard, Capital World Investors, State Street, Geode, and Morgan Stanley; the stock opened around $291.62.
Kopin also attracted additional Kopin positions from other funds in Q2, including Prudential Financial and Legal & General Group, with EWA LLC and CenterBook Partners LP noted for new Kopin positions in other quarters, highlighting broad hedge-fund activity around Kopin beyond AMG.
AMG National Trust Bank made four notable new equity investments in the second quarter, deploying millions of dollars across technology, healthcare, defense, and regional banking. The bank's largest single bet was a $5.84 million stake in CVS Health, followed by a $4.9 million position in defense contractor L3Harris Technologies, according to Defense World.
The moves signal a deliberate push into diversified, institutionally dominant stocks. Each company AMG entered already carries heavy institutional ownership — ranging from roughly 31% at Kopin Corporation to as high as 85% at L3Harris.
AMG's largest new position was 56,464 shares of CVS Health, valued at roughly $5.84 million. CVS carries institutional ownership of about 80.66%, meaning big money managers dominate its shareholder base. The stock also paid a quarterly dividend on August 3, adding an income component to the investment, Defense World reported.
The bank also opened a stake in L3Harris Technologies, buying 16,858 shares worth about $4.9 million. L3Harris is a major defense and aerospace manufacturer. The stock opened near $291.62, and institutional ownership sits at roughly 84.76%. Top holders include Vanguard, State Street, Capital World Investors, Geode, and Morgan Stanley.
AMG also bought 145,000 shares of Kopin Corporation for about $650,000. Kopin makes microdisplays and optoelectronics — tiny visual components used in military headsets and augmented reality devices. AMG's purchase represents roughly 0.08% of the company. Kopin's total institutional ownership stands at about 30.96%, according to Defense World.
The bank's fourth new position was 12,164 shares of Glacier Bancorp, a regional bank, valued near $627,000. Major institutions have grown more bullish on Glacier. Stephens set a $54 price target. Piper Sandler raised its target to $60. Weiss Ratings upgraded the stock to a buy. Glacier's overall institutional ownership is high at about 80.17%.
AMG was not alone in targeting Kopin this quarter. Prudential Financial and Legal & General Group also added new Kopin positions in Q2. EWA LLC and CenterBook Partners LP opened stakes in other recent quarters. The pattern shows broad hedge fund and institutional activity clustering around the small-cap display maker, well beyond AMG's single entry.
Kopin's largest shareholders include Vanguard with 9,376,264 shares, State Street with 11,119,885 shares, Telemark Asset Management with 7,000,000 shares, and Geode Capital with 3,497,900 shares. AMG's 145,000-share position is small by comparison, but it aligns the bank with a stock drawing fresh attention from much bigger players.
Beyond these four positions, AMG National Trust Bank also opened new stakes in Chubb Limited, Boeing, and EOG Resources during the second quarter, according to Defense World. The Boeing buy totaled 16,271 shares worth roughly $3.52 million. The EOG Resources purchase was 7,092 shares worth about $920,000. Chubb came in at 4,391 shares.
Taken together, AMG's Q2 activity shows a bank spreading risk across many sectors — energy, insurance, aerospace, healthcare, defense, and technology. None of the positions are concentrated bets. Each entry lands the bank inside stocks already anchored by large institutional money, suggesting a strategy built around stability over speculation.
