Frozenbyte Announces Trine 6: Together in Time, Featuring Co-op Play and June 15 Demo

Frozenbyte has announced Trine 6: Together in Time, a co-op puzzle-platformer coming in 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2), and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The story follows Moira and Adrius, whose failed heist draws them into the series’ established cast—Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius—as they try to undo a magic gone wrong before a warlock claims it. Gameplay is being reworked to be more co-op-first, with puzzles designed so any of the five heroes can solve them and solo players able to tackle the full adventure with adjusted puzzle layouts. The Time-Slow ability, available to every character, lets players briefly slow the action to improve timing for jumps, dodges, and hectic encounters. The game supports up to four players, with local and online play plus crossplay. Announced launch timing varies by report, with releases listed as September 17 in some coverage and September 25 in other coverage for certain platforms.
Frozenbyte detailed character-specific mechanics: Moira “chaining kick combos and swinging on a ribbon,” while Adrius fights with a spear that “he can also plant to create platforms.”
The game’s combat has more tactics than just puzzle solving—Frozenbyte says encounters require “positioning and timing,” with enemies that can “shield or strengthen their allies,” and boss fights that “fold in traversal and environmental hazards.”
Players won’t have to wait for release to try it: a Trine 6 demo is set to go live June 15 as part of Steam Next Fest, and the game is already available to wishlist.
A longer official-style synopsis emphasizes the story hook in the publisher’s wording: “a heist goes wrong, accidentally binding their fate to that of the realm's greatest heroes,” as Moira and Adrius team up to stop a “powerful magic gone awry.”
Frozenbyte framed Trine 6 as approachable for newcomers while still rewarding series fans, calling it a “perfect place for new players to jump into the series” as well as something “fulfilling and engaging for veteran fans too.”
