Aurum Resources Reports High-Grade Gold Discoveries Beyond Boundiali's Current Resource Boundary

Aurum completed a prefeasibility study and, in June, established a maiden probable ore reserve at Boundiali of 42.1 Mt @ 0.9 g/t Au for 1.21 Moz, following environmental approval in May.
BST2 lies about 18 km northwest of BST1 and is defined by a 2 km-long gold-in-soil anomaly; previous RC drilling (43 holes) largely ended around 50 m depth, with only two holes exceeding 100 m, leaving deeper potential largely untested.
Aurum's total group resources amount to about 4.4 million ounces, comprising 3.22 Moz at Boundiali and 1.16 Moz at Napié, underscoring a broader regional growth platform beyond Boundiali.
At BST1, in addition to the standout 3 m at 80.09 g/t Au (which includes 2 m at 117.73 g/t), other notable results include 38 m at 4.20 g/t Au from 65 m, including 3 m at 30.52 g/t Au and 1.50 m at 37.38 g/t Au.
Aurum Resources has drilled one of its best-ever gold hits at its Boundiali project in Côte d'Ivoire — 3 metres grading 80.09 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including a 2-metre sub-interval at 117.73 g/t. Crucially, the intercept sits outside the current resource boundary, pointing to room for significant expansion, according to Bulls N Bears.
The result comes as Aurum prepares to drill aggressively in 2026, targeting 100,000 metres at Boundiali alone. The company already holds a 3.22-million-ounce resource at the project and a total group resource of about 4.4 million ounces across West Africa, Business News reported.
The headline intercept at BST1 — 3 m at 80.09 g/t Au — was drilled outside the existing combined resource envelope. That matters because it signals the deposit has not yet been fully defined. BST1 already hosts 22 million tonnes at 0.8 g/t Au for roughly 570,000 ounces, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Other strong results from BST1 include 38 metres at 4.20 g/t Au from 65 metres depth. That interval contains a 3-metre hit at 30.52 g/t Au and a 1.5-metre hit at 37.38 g/t Au. Both BST1 and the wider Boundiali project remain open along strike and at depth, leaving plenty of room for the resource to grow, The Age noted.
About 18 km northwest of BST1 sits BST2, a brand-new prospect with no defined mineral resource yet. Early diamond drilling there returned 3 metres at 27.65 g/t Au from 144 metres depth, including 1 metre at 78.13 g/t. Those are strong numbers for an early-stage target, Brisbane Times reported.
BST2 sits along a 2-km-long gold-in-soil anomaly. Previous reverse-circulation drilling ran 43 holes, but most ended at just 50 metres depth. Only two holes went deeper than 100 metres. That means the deeper part of the system has barely been touched, leaving significant untested potential below surface.
Aurum has already completed a prefeasibility study. In May 2026, it received environmental approval. In June, it established a maiden probable ore reserve at Boundiali of 42.1 million tonnes at 0.9 g/t Au for 1.21 million ounces. The company is now working to secure mining licences and move to a definitive feasibility study, according to Business News.
Aurum had approximately A$54.7 million in cash as of mid-2026, giving it the balance sheet to fund its drill programs. The next Boundiali mineral resource update is expected by end of the third quarter of 2026. The company owns 16 diamond rigs and plans 30,000 metres at the nearby Napié project as well, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Aurum's total group resource stands at about 4.4 million ounces. That includes 3.22 Moz at Boundiali and 1.16 Moz at the Napié project. The new high-grade hits at BST1 and BST2 could push Boundiali's resource well beyond its current size once the 2026 drill results are incorporated, The Age noted.
West Africa's Birimian greenstone belt — the geological formation hosting Boundiali — is one of the world's most productive gold regions. Aurum's expanding footprint across two major projects in Côte d'Ivoire positions the company as a growing force in the region, with both deposits open for further discovery.
