TherapyGo's AI Mental Health Platform Surpasses 300,000 Users, Expands Psychologist Network

TherapyGo, an AI-powered mental health platform run by Florida-based United Innovation Solutions LLC, has crossed 300,000 users — a milestone the company says reflects soaring demand for affordable, tech-enabled psychological care, according to GlobeNewswire. The platform pairs artificial intelligence with licensed psychologists, using AI to guide users toward the right professional rather than replace one.
CEO Betul Dilmec said the goal is clear: "Artificial intelligence should help people reach the right professional faster, not replace human expertise." The announcement comes as the online therapy market is forecast to hit $32.16 billion by 2031, growing at a 21.95% annual rate, per Mordor Intelligence.
TherapyGo does not use AI as a standalone therapist. Instead, the platform uses AI to triage users — providing initial educational resources and personal recommendations — before handing them off to a licensed psychologist. This "hybrid" model is seen as a safer bet than pure-AI chatbot therapy, according to medtigo Journal.
The approach addresses a real shortage. The world has just 6.8 mental health workers per 100,000 people, per Ken Research. By automating the first steps of care, TherapyGo aims to stretch the capacity of licensed professionals further. Psychologists like Joseph L. Williamson have publicly backed the platform, saying it expands their reach to clients they could not otherwise serve.
TherapyGo's growth got a lift from a 2025 policy shift. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services created new billing codes for Digital Mental Health Treatments (DMHT). This gave platforms like TherapyGo a clearer path to insurance reimbursement, according to the American Psychological Association.
The company has steadily built out its platform since 2023. Key updates included Apple and Google sign-in options in August 2024, Apple Pay support in October 2024, and major interface improvements finalized in April 2026, per app version data tracked by UpdateStar.
Not everyone is cheering. A 2026 survey by the American Psychological Association found that 77% of licensed psychologists have had patients bring AI-generated advice into their sessions. Clinicians acknowledge that AI can serve as a "lifeline" during a 3 a.m. crisis. But they warn it is "not a safe or effective replacement for a qualified provider."
User sentiment is also mixed. Communities on Reddit report high demand for AI-driven journaling tools to vent without judgment. But many users say they are "tired of hearing that AI just tells you what you want to hear," calling for more nuanced human-AI integration, per Everyday Health.
United Innovation Solutions plans to grow its network of licensed psychologists and invest in platform security and clinical partnerships, per GlobeNewswire. International markets are a top priority. The Asia-Pacific region is the fastest-growing segment for online therapy, with a projected CAGR of 27.20%, according to Mordor Intelligence.
Southeast Asia is a key target. TherapyGo Vietnam has already been flagged as a significant new market entrant, per Ken Research. The digital revenue share of the global mental health market is expected to rise from 9.2% to 18.0% by 2030 — a window the company is clearly racing to capture.
