MindWalk CEO Dr. Jennifer Bath Joins Jones AI Day Panel on AI Drug Discovery's Future

MindWalk Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: HYFT) CEO Dr. Jennifer Bath will join a virtual panel on June 15, 2026, alongside Absci (NASDAQ: ABSI) and a leading AI compute provider, according to Financial Post. The event, hosted by Jones Research, will explore how AI can cut the cost of getting a new drug into clinical trials from $50 million down to roughly $10–$15 million.
The panel comes just days after MindWalk launched ReefIQ™, its new "biological context layer" for life sciences AI. Dr. Bath is expected to argue that this layer makes AI trustworthy enough to use in the regulated world of drug development, Northern News reports.
MindWalk launched ReefIQ™ on June 10, just two days before the panel announcement, according to The Observer. ReefIQ sits between raw biological data and the AI model. It is powered by HYFT®, MindWalk's proprietary technology built on 25 years of wet-lab research. The database holds 660 million biological patterns and maps 25 billion relationships.
The key problem ReefIQ tries to solve is AI "hallucination." Standard AI models can predict drug molecules that look good on paper but don't work in the body. MindWalk says ReefIQ grounds AI reasoning in evolutionary biology rather than pure statistics. Dr. Bath put it directly: "ReefIQ is designed to close the gap where insight is lost... making reasoning trustworthy enough to deploy in regulated workflows," according to Stratford Beacon Herald.
Absci is a generative AI company focused on creating entirely new drug molecules from scratch. Its CEO Sean McClain recently told the Goldman Sachs Global Healthcare Conference that his company can get drugs into clinical trials for "roughly $10M–$15M of investment when traditionally that takes $50M+." That is a potential cost reduction of 70–80%, according to Sault This Week.
Where MindWalk validates and contextualizes biological data, Absci designs new proteins generatively. The June 15 panel is expected to show how these two approaches can merge into a single "agentic" AI workflow. Absci's stock rose 4.86% with elevated trading volume following recent conference appearances, a sign investors see value in this collaboration model.
The press release does not name the "leading AI compute provider" on the panel. But recent filings and partnerships point strongly to AMD. MindWalk runs its Protein Language Models on AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs, which carry 192 GB of high-bandwidth memory. That allows MindWalk to run massive AI models on a single chip instead of splitting data across many cards, according to Goderich Signal Star.
Absci also committed to AMD's next-generation MI355X chips after a joint deal with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Having a compute partner at the table signals that the panel will address infrastructure — not just algorithms. Building trustworthy AI for drug discovery requires all three layers: biology, models, and raw computing power.
MindWalk is a small player. Its market cap sits around $82 million, compared to Absci's roughly $778 million. The company reported $4.2 million in revenue for its most recent quarter — a 52% year-over-year increase — and signed its first annual enterprise contract for its LensAI™ platform, according to Mitchell Advocate.
Still, analysts at GuruFocus list HYFT stock as 193% overvalued, with a fair-value estimate of just $0.60 against a current price near $1.76. The stock has a 52-week high of $3.25. The technology may be real, but the gap between MindWalk's ambitions and its revenue leaves room for investor caution. The June 15 panel gives Dr. Bath a chance to close that gap in the market's mind.
