Acxiom Achieves Leader Status for Identity & Data Solutions in Snowflake's Marketing Report

Snowflake named Acxiom a "Leader" in Identity & Onboarding for the fifth straight year in its 2026 Modern Marketing Data Stack report, released June 22 at the Cannes Lions festival. The report, which analyzed over 11,500 Snowflake customers and partners, also named Acxiom "One to Watch" in Collaboration, according to Business Wire.
The 2026 edition carries the subtitle "Governing the Agentic Enterprise." It marks a clear shift in marketing technology — away from humans pulling data manually and toward AI agents that reason, decide, and act on their own. Acxiom's identity tools sit at the center of that new system.
Acxiom's core product in this ecosystem is Real ID, an identity resolution tool built natively inside Snowflake's AI Data Cloud. It lets brands match and verify customer identities at scale — without moving data outside the cloud. That "zero data movement" design is critical in 2026, as companies face tighter privacy rules and security demands, ADVFN reported.
The speed gains are striking. One travel company using Acxiom's Snowflake-integrated Real ID cut campaign launch time by 96%, according to an Acxiom case study. Acxiom Chief Cloud Officer Ankur Jain said the new stack lets companies "translate data into decisioning in seconds, not days" — which he called "a true competitive advantage."
An "agentic" system is one where AI agents work continuously — without human instruction for each step — to make decisions and take action. Think of it as autopilot for marketing data. Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy introduced the company's "Agentic Control Plane" at Snowflake Summit 2026 in San Francisco earlier this month, framing it as the foundation for this new era.
But agents need trusted data to work safely. Snowflake's own research found that 56% of enterprise leaders say "governance and compliance" is their top barrier to deploying agentic AI. That's exactly where Acxiom's identity layer steps in — providing verified, governed data so AI agents don't act on bad information. Acxiom CMO Courtney Keating said the recognition "underscores our continued commitment to put data to work."
Acxiom is not the only company highlighted in the report. Iterable earned the Leader designation in Activation & Delivery for the fourth year in a row, according to Markets Financial Content. Snowplow was named a Leader in Analytics & Measurement, and Verato earned "One to Watch" in Integration & Data Modeling. Together, these firms form the building blocks of Snowflake's modern marketing stack.
Acxiom received Snowflake's PREMIER partner badge for AI Data Cloud Products in January 2026, confirming its native apps are live in the Snowflake Marketplace. Acxiom's global audience graph covers 2.6 billion addressable profiles, all now interoperable within Snowflake's environment. Snowflake itself posted $1.39 billion in revenue last quarter — a 33% year-over-year jump — signaling strong demand for AI Data Cloud services.
Not everyone is convinced the shift is as clean as the report suggests. Futurum Research noted that AI agents got heavy "stage time" at industry events, but many companies still struggle with basic data silos. The research firm projects the identity and context data sub-segment will grow 19% in 2026 — but warns that the gap between hype and actual deployment remains wide.
Analyst Sanjeev Mohan wrote that the real value is not the agents themselves, but the infrastructure underneath them. He argued that partners like Acxiom are the ones "taming AI accuracy and hallucination risk" — the messy, less glamorous work that makes agentic systems actually function. Without governed identity data, he said, AI agents are just fast tools making confident mistakes.
